The Toroidal Range
When North American travellers come to England, they
are presented with the harmonised European 230V a.c.
mains supply, as opposed to 120V a.c. as used in North
America. Europeans have the opposite problem, they need
a step-up transformer.
The Tacima range of transformers incorporate many design
features to produce a superior product.
Features: (Excluding 30VA,
50VA)
- Moulded plastic enclosure to produce an attractive
product for the home.
- Double locking safety feature of the enclosure to
prevent damage following misuse.
- Full Encapsulation of the Transformer -

Whereas traditional laminated transformers have laminated
covers, Toroidal mains transformers are wound on an
iron ring (Torus) and are becoming more widely used
due to improved modern winding techniques.

All step-up and step-down models in our range are auto-transformers,
and do NOT provide isolation between the Input and Output. |
